Origin
The Monte D' Atalaya Colheita Selecionada 2024 is the first wine exclusively made with grapes from this Estate, located in Moura. The grapes come from only 3 hectares chosen from 50, ensuring lower production with superior quality. The label represents the medieval Atalaya (watchtower) built on the Hill, which served as a watchtower to protect the borders of the Kingdom of Portugal.
Harvest Year
The year 2024 had a mild and rainy climate. During winter and spring, precipitation and humidity were above normal, followed by a summer with milder temperatures. In the vineyard, as a result of all these factors, there was a delay in ripening. This slow ripening allowed the development of a remarkable freshness and balance, resulting in a wine with a lighter, elegant, fresh profile, and fine tannins.
