Mouchão Aguardente Bagaceira Alicante Bouschet

Grape varity: Alicante Bouschet.
Production method: The Water is boiled over a wood-fed furnace. The vapour is conducted by pipe to copper cylinders where it passes through fresh lees that come from the treading and pressing of our best Alicante Bouschet grapes. The resulting clear Aguardente Bagaceira (Pomace Brandy) is then allowed to settle before bottling.
Climate: Mediterranean with cold winters, rainfall concentrated between October and February (with an average annual rainfall of 700mm) and hot summers with temperatures reading 40ºC at the time of maturation.
Soil: A mediterranean mix of clay and sand; poor to average quality.



Tasting notes

Aroma: Clear and fresh on the nose, it is distinguished by the spice found in the Alicante Bouschet grape.
Palate: On the palate, the freshness of this grape variety is combined with an elegant and lasting body.
Serving suggestions: Served at 14-16ºC, after a substantial meal, accompanied with a coffee, a lemon sorbet or some dark chocolate.
