Athayde Reserve White



Winemaker: Susana Esteban
Grape Varieties: 100% Chardonnay
Vinification : The grapes were hand-harvested and carefully sorted at the winery. After being destemmed, the grapes were slightly crushed and pressed. The must fermented slowly in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature.
Ageing: 50% of the wine was transferred to 400L french oak barrels for 6 months, to create more complexity and enrich the texture.
Production: 4.500 bottles

Tasting Notes

Our Reserve Chardonnay is very complex, with layers of white fruits, dry fruits, white chocolate and light oaky aromas. In the palate is elegant, slightly creamy, shows great acidity and balance. This Chardonnay was thought to go along with soft cheese, foie gras, white meats, codfish and more structured fish dishes.
