Harvest 2012

Harvest 2012, our 17th harvest. A record cold and dry winter, followed by a cold and wet spring. Superlative summer. All in all, a quality driven vintage!

Vinification

Made exclusively from selected grapes hand picked at optimum maturity from chosen sites in our own vineyards. Fermented without stems under temperature control, frequent delestage, followed by extended skin maceration to enhance varietal fruit characters, and to provide tannin structure and balance. Aged for 14 months in French oak (100%) barrels, and then blended to give balanced varietal fruit and oak components. Bottled, unfined and filtered in April 2014.

Tasting Notes

Intense notes of spice, chocolate and dark berry fruits are supported by seamless tannins and a creamy texture.
