The descendants of the Duke of Lencaster originally created this gem in the heart of the Alentejo in 1854. Maria and Jean Claude Penauille, a French couple, have bought the property and plan to carry on providing the highest quality products possible.
Located in a stunning rural setting, with surrounding vineyard and a dam lake, shrouded in the quiet of the vast alentejo planes, the Herdade da Calada wagers on enoturism, in a very familiar and cozy style, presenting an authentic Alentejo Region experience.
