The Cortes de Cima story is an epic brought about by a sailboat on treacherous open waters, melons, horticulture, and of course wine.

It is a story of a Danish-American couple armed with anti-convention, lack of preconceptions and a pioneering spirit looking for a place to plant vines and raise a family. Red was planted in a land of whites, and vines were planted on rugged coastal pastures.

Cortes de Cima Family Vineyards is today a leading light in the Portuguese wine world that speaks of place, passion and innovation.
