Hereditas is a family business established in 2000 and dedicated exclusively to the production and bottling of high quality wines at the Quinta dos Cardeais, 10 km north of Estremoz, in the Alentejo.
Fourteen hectares of vines are planted in clay soils in the foothills of the Serra de Sousel, with local varieties complemented by a few French grapes.
Annual production is around 60,000 bottles of red wine and about 15,000 of white. The wines are marketed under the brand name Hereditas, which means inheritance in Latin.
