Presentation
Herdade dos Casarões is dedicated to the wine production and selling. It began production in 2021, with wines under the brands DIVAI, Povus, Monte da Pestana, Reinadus, and Arte Real.
Our focus is on the quality of the wines produced. Therefore, we seek to share our methods and our art, thus achieving greater proximity to our customers.
Historical Character
The name of our estate dates back to the early 19th century, born from tradition, art, and the cultivation of the land, as old as humanity. Nature remains unmoved and serene in its own register. Nothing accelerates or delays it, for it is perfect in its own time, from the desire to link wine to the history of Estremoz, a city that dates back to the 13th century.
Integrated Environment/Landscape
Herdade dos Casarões is located in Estremoz, in the Évora district, about 170 km from Lisbon.
Currently, 46.6 hectares of vineyards are planted on two types of soil: clay-limestone and schist, a magnificent natural combination that characterizes our terroir.
We produce traditional varieties from the region, but we also follow the trends of other wine regions with several international varieties. Our wines result from this fusion, which encompasses nature, our region, and what we observe around the world.
But our estate is not just about viticulture. We have 38 hectares of centuries-old olive trees for the production of a centuries-old and exclusive olive oil, and 48 hectares of cork oak forest for traditional cork extraction.
It is a privileged location for wine and history lovers, where there is a notable commitment to both the quality of the wines and, in the future, wine tourism.
In this way, we seek to share our methods and our art and thus achieve greater proximity to our customers.
One of the fundamental values that defines us is our closeness to the land, its people, ancestral methods, and the art of winemaking.
We want to carry this feeling in every interaction with our customers.
To that end, we invite you to visit us and experience, every second, the heritage and history that are perpetuated at Herdade dos Casarões.
