A Baena Mourão is small family wine producer located in the Reguengos de Monsaraz sub-region of the central Alentejo. It was founded by the Baena Mourão family in 2021 and is comprised of 13 hectares of traditional grape varieties like Antão Vaz and Moreto, grown and certified under an integrated production system.
The production of small batch minimum intervention wines combines tradition (vinho de Talha and traditional varieties) with a modern style (lighter, fresher, aromatic profiles), using different techniques like amphora ageing (amphorae last hundreds of years), ranging from easy elegant whites to powerful complex reds.
