  • New space located in the historic center of Évora complies with all DGS recommendations to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

  • Turismo de Portugal seal serves to promote Portugal as a safe destination and encourages the recovery of the sector at national and international level.

The new space of CVRA - Vitivinícola Regional Alentejana Commission dedicated to the Wine Route has already received the «Clean & Safe» seal from Turismo de Portugal. This way it is guaranteed that it complies with all the recommendations of the Directorate-General for Health to avoid contamination of the spaces with SARS-CoV-2 (new coronavirus).

With all safety and hygiene conditions ensured, the new Rota dos Vinhos space reopened on June 1st. Here, tourists are invited to travel through the history of wine in the region, to know the ancestral tradition of Talha wine, the soils and grape varieties, the sustainability of the region and the various wine tourism that make up the Alentejo Wine Route.

«The recognition by Turismo de Portugal with the Clean & Safe seal is extremely important for CVRA. Thus, all those who plan to visit us are more confident that they can do so without fear, because we fulfill all the required criteria. This is yet another sign of the gradual resumption of Alentejo Wines and the wine tourism sector, both of which are extremely important for the region », says Francisco Mateus, president of CVRA.

The new space of the Alentejo Wine Route is located at Rua 5 de Outubro, nº 88, on the way from Praça do Giraldo to the Cathedral of Évora and the Roman Temple.
